Only one tournament in 2003, and few programs (Olympiades are the only tournament with inscription fees, that may explain...).

We must remark that a new program is there, Sjende Blyn, written by Jelle Wiersma. It wins its first tournament, that is exceptionnal.

Incredible domination from Buggy, which finishes with 7 victories and 2 draws on 9 games ! Nobody thought that a program could dominate the other ones like that.

This 1st world championship was marked by a weak french representation (Nicolas Guibert did not want to participate with Buggy because he considered that the little number of games was not significant, Jean-Bernard Alemanni for Windames was not available)

Dam 2.2 was perfect, and the new version enters the club of the very great programs, with Flits, Dios and Damage.

For the first time in the History, a non Dutch program wins !!!

Congratulations Nicolas.

You can notice that a lot of programs have the same number of points, or near. Programs draw more and more often.

A new program : J Draughts. It is a new version of ZaZen, but it is not completely achieved.

For the first time :

- There is a Russian program in the tournament (Agafonov Draughts' Club).

- There are 7 French programs (never more than 3 before)

- A very recent program is 2nd (Buggy, definitive version of the prototype Nicodames).

Bad results of Dam 2.2 and Windames 3D must be noted.

Flits wins again, but it is followed very nearly by Buggy and Za-Zen, both of them recently made. Two good programs did not come : Dios and Napoleon. But would they have won against Za-Zen and Buggy ?

After this group, there are 8 programs with equivalent performances.

At the end, 3 programs which did not win against any of the other programs : "Agafonov", weak, "Dames", very weak, and "Dream", full of bugs (7 games lost on bugs, in 8 games).

A few games (in Windames format) :

Windames/Zazen (1-1), Windames/Tornado (1-1), Cerberus/Windames (1-1), Dames/Windames (0-2),

Windames/Dam2.2 (0-2), Quidam/Windames (0-2), Buggy/Windames (2-0).

Dam2.2/Buggy (1-1), Tornado/Dam2.2 (1.1), Toy/Dam2.2 (1-1), Dam2.2/Dame Laser (1-1),

Dam2.2/Agafonov (2-0), Dam2.2/Za-Zen (0-2), Flits/Dam2.2 (2-0),

ZaZen/Dream (2-0), Dames/Dream (2-0), Dream/Toy (0-2),

Cerberus/Toy (0-2), Cerberus/Quidam (1-1)

Dame Laser/Dames (2-0)

TD King/Quidam (2-0),

Dios takes back its crown, lost 10 years ago.

But Flits is still great !!!!.

First participation of Dream, which seems to be able getting better results.

It is the first participation too of Windames 3D, which was very lucky.

It is also the first participation of (little brother of Mac Dammen).

The evolution of the programs can be noticed : for example, Quidam, which was not improved during 2 years, sinks in the results (but it lost a game because a bad setting of the clock).

Dynamo was here just to make parity, in an old version limited to 10 seconds for the 4 first games, in a more recent version for the 4 last games. It used a slow 486 computer. The result is too hard for it. It is probably better than it appears in the result.
