The great champions :
I cannot mention all the great players, but the greatest one was probably Marcel Deslauriers (1905-1988), a genius on both 100 squares and 144 squares games.
Raoul Dagenais, Fernand Guertin, Fernand Boisjoly, Adrian Chaput have been among the best ones too for this game.
Maxime Kouame is a modern champion, but he left Canada some years ago and lives now in Paris, where he cannot play this type of game (and where he is a champion in International game).
Fernand Berger and his brothers are among the best ones, and Fernand uses to write in Recréation-Quebec some lines about Canadian checkers.
Few books have been written about this game, but I must mention Raoul Boudreau's book, which is the only one I found in shops, in France.
I must also say that a 12x12 board is used in Sri Lanka.
